Studying Fine Art enabled me to try new mediums and techniques. In addition to this I was introduced to new artists. Artists I am influenced by include: Michaela Yearwood Dan, Joseph Raffael & Jean Michel Basquiat.
Don Thompson & Julian Stallabrass's writing has inspired my thinking around the art market structure and dynamics.

Mistakes are part of the process.
If working figurately I study the subject closely. I look for shapes and light. I do multiple drafts of the subject in different materials. I find that doing this helps me further "see" the subject. If I am working with something new I will test the materials out to see what they do. I make notes as I go along so I can use it as a reference point.
